Adobe Media Encoder For Free
I just moved my project into a new folder. Now I’m going to find it inside of the Media Encoder folder because we’re going to compress that. So, I’m going to click on import media and then drag the file into the media import window. I have to make sure I pull my file right into the folder. If I don’t it won’t add it. And I’ll double-click select it and click on export options. The import tool enables me to create new sequences. I’ll just type in a name here. We’ll say export. Save. Now this is targeted to the same folder. So I click okay, and then I’ll go into the media module settings. If I click on the blue text here I can make adjustments. So I’m going to go over to the edit quality and see if this is up to par. And I can click on okay. And then save the settings. So I’ve created a new sequence and then I will click the play button in the media player and the sequence is rendered. So I need a little bit of time to do this but once its done your output will be delivered to your targeted folder. So you can navigate there. Delete this file if you want and choose the output file that you want or if you want to choose a different preset in this case I’ll choose, let’s say 720p. And that’s going to create a 720p output file. And of course I can right click that and save it out to wherever I want to put it. So, that’s ready to be delivered. Remember I can click on the output file path and just go directly to that folder to find all of my assets.
Another benefit to Media Encoder is the fact that it allows you to import clips from other applications. Different projects are best when created from different projects because they will have different settings. However, if you have to work in a hurry, working with the same project from another application can save time and effort. Rather than working on the same project, import your clips into Media Encoder and create new ones from that. This way, you dont have to worry about each one being slightly different because you originally worked on it from another app.
