What is Krita 5.1.0 and what is it for

We have implemented custom GLSL shaders that allow Krita to use Direct3D 11’s Caps (settings) to allow high-quality resizing on both monitors and mobile devices. This is so you can edit your images on smartphones, tablets, printers, and your big monitor at home. The GLSL shaders use the same functionality as the soft-brush and gaussian-brush tips so we can do high-quality resizing and sharpening without the brush in ‘painter mode’.

New feature: HDR support! All of the settings for saving your HDR image are now visible in Krita’s Settings. HDR supports OpenEXR and Windows 10 HDR formats, with more HDR formats coming. See the documentation for more information on how to save HDR images.
