I think its important for new artists to learn Photoshop and maybe next year I will buy the adobe suite so I can save and use it for unlimited jobs but for now I think this is an acceptable alternative to Photoshop. It was a blast learning. I enjoyed making my Pig Astronaut cartoon in Photoshop so I plan to take that approach with Sai.
