We did this by adding a new help text field to the main configuration screen that would trigger the help text, and that would be colored based on the main configuration’s color. So the help text will be red unless you have a generic proxy-url, in which case, it will be green.

If you need to specify a more advanced proxy setting, you can still do so in the main configuration screen using the new “Advanced proxy settings” button.
